Student Programs
Jumpstart your career on your vacation!
Incitec Pivot Limited, our parent company, offers the Australian Manufacturing Vacation Program, and any prospective Dyno Nobel engineering employee is eligible. This is a chance for engineering students looking to work over their end of year break and get some site based engineering experience.
The vacation program normally runs as a 12 week program and provides an opportunity for supervised learning with real project work. Not only can you get a feel for what it's like to work in a real engineering environment, you can also start building your networks for when you're in the workforce full time. We look to employ students who are in their penultimate year of university during the end-of-year break.
Applications for our Vacation Program open in August each year. Positions available are advertised on our Career Opportunities portal.
Graduate Programs
If you are a Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineer – you are in luck!
Dyno Nobel offers a Graduate Program within its manufacturing businesses, targeting engineers. Working at a Dyno Nobel site is a great opportunity for exposure to both the mining and manufacturing industries while gaining hands-on engineering experience.
Our comprehensive graduate program focuses on your technical, professional and personal development. All graduates complete two site-based rotations during the two year program. We are generally looking for engineering graduates from the following disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical, and Electrical.
Our graduates rotate through two of the following sites in Australia: Phosphate Hill, Moranbah, Moura, Mt Isa and Brisbane in Queensland and Geelong in Victoria.
As a Dyno Nobel graduate you will gain practical experience while learning about the business world. You will also receive valuable coaching and feedback on your performance. The program is a chance for you to work alongside and learn from a diverse group of professionals who are leaders in their field. You will have the opportunity to be part of a site operations team where you'll be exposed to various areas of the business, including technical projects and research.
